SYNERGY HomeCare in La Mesa is owned and operated by Peter and Angela Le, a husband-and-wife duo with four children, deep military ties, and a history of volunteer work in San Diego’s school systems. Both Peter and Angela already have experience as caregivers, as Peter cared for his grandmother before enlisting in the Navy, and Angela served as Peter’s primary caregiver following his medical discharge.
Peter, Angela, and their team of caregivers assist residents throughout Bonita, Chula Vista, El Cajon, La Mesa, Rancho San Diego, Spring Valley, and other parts of San Diego with a range of services, including companion care, personalized in-home assistance, and specialized support for individuals managing chronic health conditions or recovering from illness or surgery.
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus, Peter spent much of his career working at sea. He spent long stints working aboard submarines for over a decade, and even following his medical discharge, Peter once again returned to work on the systems of Navy ships as a government lead. Between his medical discharge and his new role, though, Peter was temporarily unable to work and relied heavily on Angela and fellow Navy veterans to help him get back on his feet.
According to Peter, this experience greatly impacted his outlook on life, saying, “I had so much help to get me to where I am today, and that’s what made me want to help other people like me.”
Angela paused her studies at Cal State Fullerton to care for Peter and their family, two of whom are on the autism spectrum. Her experience balancing caregiving and motherhood gave her a deep appreciation for families who need reliable, understanding care. After Peter returned to work, Angela continued serving her community as a dedicated school volunteer, earning Volunteer of the Year honors in both 2024 and 2025.
SYNERGY HomeCare in La Mesa provides a wide range of non-medical care options. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping, and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care assists with bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and other activities of daily life.
